A WORLD ONCE BRIGHT: REVISITING THE 1964-65 NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR

For Disneyphiles, the 1964-65 World's Fair remains something of an enigma; as the commercial elements that made up the sights to see included the original 'It's A Small World', 'Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln', (and the much-loved) 'Carousel Of Progress'. Not to mention the dinosaur dioramas you see riding the rails at Anaheim, and the sadly, long-defunct, 'Ford Magic Skyway.'

So here's a small clip of a documentary that's come out recently, and it's available for rental too. I've watched the whole deal and learned a lot about this last, great fair, of which I've included some pictures from my own collection below. And that'll be the focus for the next week or so ahead for P + C; the makings and vistas of this wonderful event.

ALSO: make sure to check out the vintage clip about the Fair's UNISPHERE (located under the 'MOVING IMAGE' section of this site). It's fair to say it's quite interesting and informative.
